H-F Credit Union (H-FCU) is a non-profit financial organization owned and operated by it's members for the benefit of all who belong.

Membership Eligibility

Membership in the H-F Credit Union (H-FCU) is open for people who live or work in the area bounded by 159th Street, LaGrange Road, the Will County line, and the Indiana state line as well as to employees or members of these groups:

Alumni of H-F High School

Full-time students enrolled at H-F High School

     In addition to these groups, membership is open to members’ family, groups and organizations of members, and retired persons from these employee groups.

    Having joined H-FCU, a member may remain a member for life, even if eligibility in the field of membership is terminated.  Once a member, always a member.

 

 

 Application for Membership

     Completing the membership card, paying the membership fee of $3.00 and making the initial deposit of $25.00 will make you a member.  This $25.00 initial deposit will open your share (savings) account and is the minimum balance that must be maintained at all times

     Having Joined H-F Credit Union a member may remain a member for life, even if employment in the field of membership is terminated.  Once a member always a member.

    Once the initial deposit of $25.00 is made and maintained, a member is eligible to apply for any of the other accounts, services, or loans that are available.  Dividends are paid quarterly on the average daily balance of the account.

Loans

    Any member may apply for a loan.  Once the completed application is returned to the Credit Union the processing will begin.  Each application is analyzed on an individual basis.  Income, length of employment, past credit history, and current obligations are considered in the loan decision.

     Members' shares are the source of lending funds: therefore, sound lending practices are followed to assure loans will be repaid within the scheduled time.  The credit union will decide on most applications in 24 to 48 hours
